Housefull 2 – Das dreckige Dutzend

Housefull 2 (also known as Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen) is an 2012 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, being an uncredited remake of the Malayalam film Mattupetti Machan and the second part of Housefull film franchise. The film stars a large ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Asin, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Riteish Deshmukh, Zareen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Shazahn Padamsee, Chunky Pandey, Mithun Chakraborty, Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor in lead roles. Boman Irani, Johnny Lever, Neelu Kohli and Suparna Marwah play supporting roles, and Malaika Arora appears in an item number.

Housefull 2 released in cinemas on 5 April 2012 with a budget of ₹ 45 crore (US$5.9 million) and received mixed reviews from critics who praised the cast and humor but criticised writing, screenplay, cliches and direction. Earning ₹ 186 crore (US$24 million) worldwide, the film became a major economic success and the eighth highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2012.
